Minister

Joel attended Rocky Mountain School of Evangelism after high school and received his Bachelor’s degree of Sacred Literature.  He also received a greater blessing in meeting his wife Maryah while he was in college.  Together they have been married 24 years and have 3 amazing children, Chenaniah, Cadence, and Chanson.

Joel began serving at Cedar Ridge Church in May of 2013.  The church welcomed him and his family with open arms and he has truly enjoyed becoming a part of their family.  Joel enjoys teaching at the church as well as the personal relationships he has been able to develop.  He loves to see people’s lives changed through the power of Jesus!

Outside of church, Joel enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and dog (Dipper).  He also enjoys disc golfing, traveling, and playing video games.

Church Elder

Antony was born in Kenya and started coming to Cedar Ridge in the summer of 2015. He came to know Jesus as a young adult and was baptized into Christ in 1992. In 1996, he started Bible college and began serving as an evangelist at Koma Rock Church of Christ in Nairobi where he continued in this ministry until 2015. He has received an Advanced Diploma in Bible and Missions from Nairobi Great Commission College, and has been trained as a counselor for conflict resolution, management, and leadership. 

Antony enjoys being an elder at Cedar Ridge Church because of the cohesiveness of the church body. He believes that our unity of purpose makes the church a promising ground for growth, not only individually but holistically to its full maturity as intended by our Lord Jesus Christ! Some of his primary objectives as an elder is to help identifying and equipping members with the necessarily tools for effectiveness in the identified area/s of service, through correction and encouraging with love. 

Antony and his wife Tabitha have 3 adult children, Elijah Mwangi, Virginia Nungari, and Martha Wanjiru. Outside of church, Antony enjoys playing badminton, reading, soccer, watching outdoor games or sports, walking especially where he can find nature like forests, rivers, and lakes. He also enjoys traveling, and learning different cultures.

Associate Minister

A newer member to the team, Josh has been working with Cedar Ridge Church since March of 2022. As the associate minister, he assists the leaders in their efforts to build up and equip the congregation for the work of service to God and the world. This is done through a few avenues such as teaching and facilitation of different groups, but it is also accomplished on the personal level of building relationships and pouring into the members of the congregation.

As well as working for the church, Josh is a student at Summit Theological Seminary and is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies. He grew up in Massachusetts, but the majority of his family has roots in the Midwest where he later met his wife, Miranda. She is a great support to him in his ministry and an active participant within the congregation as well.

In his free time, Josh enjoys disc golfing, reading, and playing games with friends and family. We look forward to seeing how he grows and continues to serve in God’s kingdom.
